2025: A Great Year for the OptoPowerLab!

Another remarkable achievement follows: a second Best Paper Award for OptoPowerLab at the ESREF 2025 conference!
Therminic 2025 Best Paper Award goes to Vincenzo Terracciano et al.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, during the closing session of the therminic 2025 conference (https://therminic2025.eu/), the prestigious Best Paper Award was granted to Vincenzo Terracciano, PhD student at the OPLab.
The awarded paper, “Electrothermal Performance Enhancement of Silicon Carbide Gate-All-Around MOSFETs using a Ferroelectric Gate Stack”, demonstrates how an innovative power switch can gain robustness through the introduction of a novel gate material. The paper will soon be available on IEEE Xplore.
The study was conducted in collaboration with Alessandro Borghese, Marco Boccarossa, Andrea Irace, and Luca Maresca (members of the OPLab), together with Prof. Giovanni Antonio Salvatore from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
We are also pleased to share the congratulations expressed by Wendy Luiten, long-time lecturer at the conference:
